Alaska!!

It is indescribable. There are no words to explain the beauty of Alaska. Everyday I just marvel at the amazing knowledge that we have a God who created all of this!! I couldn't even have imagined it but it's here! What an awesome God we serve!!
Tour is going very well. We are in Chigiak Alaska. We did a concert tonight and it was good! I've seen over 100 concerts but I still love them!
Lately it seems I've been having so many amazing host families. I just had one who gave me a pillow! I'm pretty excited about that because I didn't have a pillow on the bus. I know I could have bought one but it's not the same as getting one:)
I've been on the road now for almost 6 months. It sure doesn't feel that way. At the beginning of October I'm going home for Cathy's wedding. It will sure be nice to go home and see how everyone is doing. I really want to see Kaleah and Jason, my new niece and nephew.
Well, I should get to bed.
Love you all,
Barb

North Pole??

Yep that's right, I'm in North Pole Alaska!! It's not the North Pole but it's a North Pole:) Santa Claus does live here though. I saw his workshop on the way in to town today. Apparently Santa is there all year round! Just so you know we are pretty close to Russia here and we are farther west in the world then the Hawaiian Islands.
It's warm here for being the north. Today it was probably 25 celcius during the day. It cools off alot at night though.
Right now I'm at my host family. They have 2 airplanes. There are many people with airplanes here because the roads aren't very good, so many people just fly. Alaska has the highest number of airplanes per person in the world. We just went for a walk and there was a plane standing in almost every yard.
Alaska is beautiful. I've seen pictures but they don't do justice to the beauty out here. At our last church there were mountains a short distance away. There is no way to explain the way they looked. They were big and snow covered, rising up just behind the river. Wow! I was just amazed. We have an awesome God who created an awesome world!! I thank God for the oppurtunity to be out here and be reminded all the time of His greatness!
Love you all,
Barb

Grande Prairie Alberta

Grande Prairie is Winkler's twin. Main street in Grande Prairie looks so much like Winkler's main street its wierd. I think it's the identical Ford dealership at the end that does it.
I want to thank everyone who left a comment on my blog. It's so good to hear from you guys and know you care enough to read my scribbles:)
To everyone at the Credit Union, I get made fun of on this tour because when I see a CU I get so excited. They just don't understand what a great place the HCU is:) They'd be excited too if they knew!
Well, we just got to Canada and we're leaving in 2 weeks. We are all looking forward to our time in Alaska. I keep thinking that it's going to be winter soon but up there it probably will be a lot colder than we're used to so it will feel like winter.
We've got a concert tonight. I think I've seen about 100 by now. The kids have done about 175 altogether. It's looking pretty polished by now:)
Have a great week-end!
Love Barb
